Mission:
The mission of the Laguna Detention Facility Program (DFP) is to serve the Pueblo of Laguna by the humane detention, care and positive development of inmates legally detained by the police or committed by the court.
COMMUNITY WORK
Village Officials and Laguna residents may request assistance from the Laguna Detention Facility Program for community work projects. These requests are limited to public facilities (i.e. community basketball courts, trash pickup on public ways, community centers and government buildings); and yard work or trash pickup on the private residences of elderly or disabled Laguna community members. Service is dependent of availability of staff and response may not be immediate.

SANDBAGS
In the event of inclement weather where sandbags may be needed to prevent flooding, Village Officials and Laguna residents may request sandbags from the Detention Facility Program. For requests during business hours (Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM), please contact Lawrence Begaye at (505)552-1987 or Warden Paul Chavez at (505)552-1980. After business hours please contact police dispatch at (505)552-6666. Residents will need to provide their own transportation for the bags and will be instructed where to pick them up. Elderly or disabled residents may request assistance from POL in getting sandbags to their residence.
